Long-Term Tensile Behavior of a High-Strength Geotextile after Exposure to Recycled Construction and Demolition Materials

چکیده
The use of recycled construction and demolition (C&D) materials as an alternative backfill in the geosynthetic-reinforced structures, such embankments retaining walls, has been pointed out a sustainable effective means attenuating environmental impacts associated with C&D waste disposal to landfill, while also reducing natural resource depletion. Creep is important time-dependent mechanical property that must be considered when geosynthetics are used reinforcement applications. In this study, series creep rupture tests was carried characterize long-term tensile response high-strength geotextile typically for soil reinforcement. To assess potential chemical degradation induced by aggregates on geosynthetic, strain behavior fresh specimens compared were previously exposed (used reference) period 24 months, under real conditions. Test results have shown short-term strength properties can considerably reduced after exposure materials. Conversely, conditions, exhumed led higher estimates retained at design lifetime, implying testing conservative (i.e., safe) procedure regard analysis geosynthetic. Similar effects material soil, which supports feasibility using replacement conventional structures.

Compressive Behavior of Recycled Mortar After Exposure to High Temperatures
The possibility of using fine recycled concrete aggregate as a substitute for natural sand are relatively limited. In order to promote it for engineering application, this paper reports the effect of elevated temperatures from room temperature to 600C on the compressive behavior of mortars containing recycled fine concrete aggregate was investigated. It is found that no obvious relation between...
متن کاملA study on use of recycled demolition debris in construction
The particle size distribution of output material is affected by type of crusher used .The demolition debris of particle size less than 37.5 mm. The inclusion of upto 15% of particle larger than 37.5 mm should not alter density significantly. Water absorption of coarse and fine particle of crushed brick aggregates passing 19 mm 4.75 mm respectively and retaining on 4.75 mm are 6.15 % and 6.20 %...

In this study, the chronic toxic effects of Pb (II) on common carp, Cyprius carpio were investigated using several biomarkers at different levels of biological functions for assessing changes in ecosystem quality. In a bioassay, common carp juveniles were individually exposed to different dose of heavy metal, Pb II (0, 0.45, 0.89, 1.34 mg.l-1) for 28 days. Morphological indices such as hepat...
